Sand-lime bricks may be packed in units with or without a pallet. Today’s packing machines can cope with both methods.
Stacks are driven towards the packaging line on a platform conveyor, a sheet of film is applied on top of the stack. The conveyor then carries the stack to the strapping machine which is equipped with a pressuring device. To prevent misalignment and irregularities, the whole stack is pressed at once and not piece by piece, it is then strapped.
The load remains stationary while the vertical strapping head moves along to apply the straps. If necessary, two heads can be used at the same time. The load is then moved on to be strapped horizontally once or as required. The grip lifter takes the load to the end of the line where it is ready for transport.
