The press wholesalers pack and dispatch those newspapers, magazines and booklets which are not distributed by mailmen but by retailers. In order to keep the return cost for unsold issues as low as possible every consignment is individually compiled by computer statistics. Each bundle differs from the bundle before in number of items and format.
The stacks are first wrapped in film and then strapped crosswise. Two straps are enough for newspaper bundles, because the papers are all the same size. Three straps are necessary for magazines and smaller booklets. The bundles weight approx. 8 - 12 kg.
