The brochures are supplements to newspapers. They are shipped to newspaper printers on pallets. Average pallet weight is approximately 1 ton and 130 cm high.
Packing into boxes or bundling is too extensive for this purpose. Therefore they are stacked loosely. A constantly high holding power is needed because of the smooth paper surface.
The securing measures:
- Interlocked stacking
- Double crosswise strapping. The 4 straps applied under compression
- A lid distributes the pressure of the strapping evenly on the top.
- Stretchwrapping with PE film under high pre-stretch ratio, for lateral consistency and for protection against the ingress of dust, dirt and rain.
